Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her grandmother was living in slums with her biological parents up to when she was 3 years old. She was then adopted. Her adopted family is comprised by one Filipino adoptive mother and white American military veteran. The woman has said that she and the brother she had were abused by their adoptive family members from when she was young until the time that she joined the army. For the purpose of moving to Texas after she reached 13, her family spent several months in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. Although the physical violence subsided but she says that she still suffered mental assault from her father at her home. She enlisted in the United States Navy when she reached the age of 18. Poarch began her TikTok in the month of April, 2020 rapidly gaining fame. She amassed over 40 million followers within less than eight months. She uploaded various videos but her biggest hit was a video for Millie B's hit song Soph Aspin Send. The video that zoomed showed her lip-syncing and jumping to the music in a rhythmic time with it went all over the internet. Poarch launched her YouTube as well as Twitter accounts during the time following the joining of TikTok to benefit from her rising fame. Poarch's rising fame peaked in the December month 2020. According to reports, she was the target of two major professional Esports organisations. FaZe Clan, 100 Thieves have both expressed interest for her to work as a freelance creator of content for their respective brands.
