LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who plays with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. James is popularly referred to as King James and is considered to be one of the best basketball players ever. James has won four NBA Championships as well as 4 NBA MVP Awards and four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has 2 Olympic Gold Medals. James has scored the highest points in the playoffs the second most career points and has the seventh highest amount of ever assists. James has 18 NBA All-Stars along with 18 All-NBA Teams as well as five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. James has been a part of 10 NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between 2011 and 2018. In 2021 James was selected to make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the first athlete in NBA history to have accumulated 10,000 or more points over the course of his career rebounding and assists. James, who was born in Akron Ohio, played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School. He was praised by the national press as a potential NBA star. An aspiring pro, he was selected by Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. When he was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, he soon became a top player within the NBA receiving the NBA's MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to win the championship in Cleveland in 2010, resigned as a free agent and joined in the Miami Heat. This was revealed within The Decision. It is one of the most controversial moves made by a sports free agent throughout history.
