The 1976 Montreal Olympic Games was the time when she broke the record as the first athlete who scored a perfect 10 in asymmetric bars. In the following years, she was able to score an additional six perfect 10s, making her the most youthful Olympic overall gold medalist who was just 14 years old. Comaneci didn't just draw worldwide attention; she also helped put Romania in the spotlight. With an impossible result, the sporting icon created a legend and promoted gymnastics across the globe. The perception of women gymnasts was changed by her achievements. It was because of her influence during this Olympics that the uneven bars competition is named for two of the moves after her toe-on and release. Both are, till date, classified as high-level degree. Other than the Olympics she also performed impressive in the both World Championships (World Championships) and European Championships. Thus, becoming one of the world's most famous and well-known gymnasts. She also modeled and promoted the sport of gymnastics after making the move to the US.
